Beltzville
State Park
Located in Carbon County, Beltzville State Park is 949 acres with a shoreline
of 19.8 miles. The park is located along the Pohopoco Creek with recreation
areas around the lake. The park offers wooded and open picnic areas, which
also include modern restrooms, drinking water, tables, parking areas,
and day use mooring areas for boats. Fishing in Beltzville Lake is a popular
sport. The lake is stocked with warm- and cold-water game fish and panfish.
The lake is also ideal for boating.

Wallenpaupack
PPL's 'Lake Wallenpaupack and Hydroelectric power plant was completed
in 1926. Now a major tourism and outdoor recreation destination, the 5,700
acre Lake Wallenpaupack fills what was once a bowl-shaped valley, sixty
feet at its maximum. It's one of the largest manmade lakes in Pennsylvania.

Promised
Land State Park
About 3,000 acres in size, Promised Land State Park is in the Pocono Plateau,
1,800 feet above sea level, and is surrounded by 12,464 acres of Pennsylvania's
Delaware State Forest, including natural areas. The forests of the park
consist primarily of beech, oak, maple and hemlock trees. Two lakes and
